Lucky Devils, Hollywood

I generally try to avoid this section of Hollywood like the plague.  Parking is generally a nightmare, everyone looks like they need to be washed with a high pressure hose, but the Lucky 7 Happy Hour at Lucky Devils (Weekdays 3p-7p) is well worth the trek to Hollywierd.  It's located at 6613 Hollywood, between Whitley & Cherokee.

Food Truck Mania

Buttermilk Truck's Chicken & Waffles
There's a valid reason why the Nouveau Food Truck craze in America is out of control:  It's an adventure just to find the truck you seek, and when you find it, you're blown away by the menue, the competition is fierce, the food is remarkable and inventive, and we foodies are always looking for something to brag about:  WE FOUND THE FOOD TRUCK, and YES, it ROCKED!  I'll give you their links.

Fall in DC - Beautiful Colors and Great Events!

Fall is my favorite season, partly because I grew up in Los Angeles where very few trees change color and the seasons all gradually smush into each other without any obvious changes, and also because when I finally did visit the east coast in the fall, I fell in love with the smells, colors, and yes, even their crazy fall weather.

Stop number 2 on this Los Angeles Metro Tour is Union Station.  We will explore the city's beautiful 1930's train station, walk across the street to the historic Olvera Street and Avila Adobe, and offer great dining options including the best churros in the city (I'm NOT kidding) and get brainwashed by Phillipe's Famous French Dip Sandwiches (the best in LA since 1908!), stop by a historic Catholic Church and see an exhibit at the Chinese American Museum.

The easiest ways to get around DC is by foot, the metro, or the Circular bus that offers several routes throughout the city. This walking tour will start at the US Capitol Building and continue thru several points of interest along the National Mall and continue thru various national memorials. Ride on a Historic Boat Pulled by Mules!

The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal in Potomac, Maryland, offers historic boat rides for only $5. Two mules pulled our authentic boat, the Charles Mercer, up the canal and thru one of the newly restored locks at Potomac Falls Park, in Potomac, MD.  It was so much fun!

See Hollywood by Metro and Foot!

WALKING TOUR OF HOLLYWOOD BLVD.
The cheapest and most hassle-free way to see Hollywood is by foot and using the Metro (Subway) system.

PARKING: I suggest parking at the Universal Station for free (located at Lankershim Bl. & Universal Terrace Pky., North Hollywood 91608) and taking the subway just one stop to the Hollywood and Highland station OR park at the Hollywood & Highland complex (only $2 for 4 hours with validation, or $10 for the day).
