Great Spots on the Makah Indian Reservation

The Makah Indian Reservation is located in the most northwestern part of Washington state.  I will talk about hiking to the most north-western part in the continental US, a great place to camp and the best sunset in Washington state.

CAPE FLATTERY TRAIL
This is one of the most beautiful hikes I have EVER taken. The Cape Flattery Trail is located on the Makah Indian Reservation and is the most northwestern land in the continental United States.

Not only is the ocean view beautiful at the end of your journey, but your 1/2 mile walk on a wood-plank boardwalk thru the forest is breathtaking!

Make sure to stop off at the Makah Visitor's Center and purchase a parking pass for $2 before continuing west to the trail. You need it to park anywhere on Makah property.

HOBUCK BEACH RESORT
I've stayed here twice in the last year and absolutely love it!
I've camped here on their property and stayed in their cabins. It is a beautiful location!
The cabins are quaint on
e bedrooms, with a pull out couch in the living room, a dining room table and full kitchen.

The campground is only 50 yards from the beach, has fire pits, and has VERY clean communal bathrooms with showers.
It is really relaxing, but when the wind picks up can get pretty cold out! Bring jackets and plenty of tent stakes!

BEACHES ON THE RESERVATION
The beaches in Neah Bay and on the Makah Reservation are beautiful. In some places you have giant cedar forests right up against the beach.  Amazing sunsets!
