This isn't a typical market... don't come here to buy toilet paper. This is the place you rush to immediately after you've told your new love 'I want to cook for you tonight' in a real Humphrey Bogart sort of way.
The sandwich counter has made to order items like bison pastrami, roast turkey with spicy pepper jam, veggie banh mi, and many house-made meats like pistachio mortadella, smoked picante salami and head cheese. Plenty of salads that are elegant (red beet, goat cheese frisee and fried shallot salad) or good old country (deviled eggs) are offered.

The coffee bar features Shenandoah Joe Coffee Roasters from Charlottesville, VA. They'll blend, roast, grind and package the perfect flavor for you. Or, just hang out and enjoy a fresh cup, again, made just for you.
All store items are from the Chesapeake Bay Watershed focusing on locally grown and environmentally sustainable foods. These artisans are from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York and DC.
House-made creations include salads, stocks, sauces, pizzas, soups and other goodies that you can pass off as your own, if you dare.
The store was constructed with sustainable building materials, do not offer plastic bags upon check-out, only reusable bags from recycled content, and manage a complete composting process.
Glen's Garden market is open from 8am until 10pm, seven days a week.
